8th NWB Hackathon: User Days and Developer Days
May 12 - May 15Free
The Neurodata Without Borders project is an effort to standardize the description and storage of neurophysiology data and metadata. NWB reduces the energy barrier to sharing and reusing data both within and across labs and facilitates the use of popular analysis, visualization, and archival tools. The purpose of the NWB User and Developer Days is to bring the experimental neurophysiology community together to further adoption and development of the NWB data standard, NWB software libraries, and scientific workflows that rely on NWB. Members of the community will exchange ideas and best practices for using NWB, share NWB-based tools, discuss common needs, resolve issues and request features in the NWB software libraries, and connect with others in the community. The event will also enable NWB developers and users to interact with each other to facilitate communication, gather requirements, and train users.
The event is planned for 4 days and will include a beginner-level introduction to NWB, interactive tutorials on using NWB, tutorials on advanced NWB topics and community tools that use NWB, and time to work on NWB-related projects with help from the NWB developers.
